University of the Sunshine Coast Successfully Upgrades to RME7.6
The University of the Sunshine Coast (USC) has continued the trend of Queensland universities successfully upgrading to ResearchMaster Enterprise Version 7.6 (RME).
Dr Lei Zhao, Research Performance Information & Systems Manager, together with Business System Analysts Nita Wood and Shaun Campion, Research Information Analyst Geraldine Fitzgerald, and Oracle DBA Trevor Caetano, worked closely with the ResearchMaster support team to iron out last minute glitches before successfully going live as scheduled.
Dr Zhao said the RME7 installation process was really quick and much improved; going from RME6 to RME7 took less than a couple of months.
The RME7 Project eForms are available to hundreds of USC researchers and administrators and the early feedback is positive, in particular the improved user interface and easier navigation. “We really like the layout designer, being able to remove features we don’t use and move the tabs. It’s very convenient” Dr Zhao said.
In the next few weeks, Dr Zhao and his team will run a series of workshops to showcase the new RME7 features and functionality to the USC community. “We’ll work through the previous pain-points experienced in RME6, and help them take advantage of all the improvements in RME7, especially the searches!” said Dr Zhao.
